Şengün & Partners Held an Internal Webinar on the Duty to Give Notice under Transport Law

As part of Şengün Akademi, Associate Kübra Zeren delivered an internal webinar for Şengün & Partners titled “The Duty to Give Notice under Transport Law and the Consequences of Non-Compliance”.

The webinar offered a comprehensive overview of the law applicable to contracts of carriage, the responsibilities of the parties, and the legal risks that may arise in multimodal and intermodal transport. Liability regimes, time limits for giving notice, and the relevant legal provisions under the CMR for road transport, COTIF/CIM for rail transport, and the Montreal Convention for air transport were also discussed. In addition, participants were briefed on recourse between the parties, insurance and guarantees, as well as the main considerations for preventing risks that may arise in transport operations.
