Şengün & Partners Conducted a Comprehensive On-Site Study on Corporate Risk Management for Workplace Accidents

The Risk, Compliance and Regulation Department of Şengün & Partners conducted a comprehensive study for a leading company in the paper and packaging industry as part of its “Corporate Legal Risk Management and Compliance Programme for Workplace Accidents”.

As part of the programme, the company’s occupational health and safety practices, as well as its processes for workplace accidents and near-miss incidents, were examined from a legal risk perspective. Existing practices and processes were assessed through on-site inspections and interviews with the relevant departments. In addition, the roles, authorities and responsibilities of the human resources and administrative departments in occupational health and safety and workplace accident processes were reviewed, and interdepartmental processes were examined from a legal risk management perspective. The study aimed to identify legal risks associated with workplace accidents, strengthen existing processes, and support sustainable compliance with applicable legislation.

The on-site study was carried out by Partner Gülşah Güven, LL.M., Senior Associate Betül Önal Payze, Executive Associate Öykü Gülsen, and Associate Ayça Buse Kendir.

In all our work, we aim to contribute to the effective management of legal risks arising from workplace accidents, the improvement of occupational health and safety processes, and the strengthening of a corporate culture of compliance.
